Samaura Stone

Samaura Stone grew up listening to her mother tell haunting stories about the Civil Rights Movement. Sparking her curiosity about justice and equality early on, Samaura realized that it would take many more strong, impassioned leaders to continue the fight for these critical rights.

A recent college graduate, Samaura majored in Social and Behavioral Studies. Currently a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for children in Multnomah County, she is also interning as a Program Assistant for the YWCA's CASA program in Vancouver, Washington. Additionally, Samaura spends countless hours mentoring and working with children who are in foster care.

Samaura is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of children in foster care by supporting and eventually creating policies that will address specific needs of the children and families involved.
