Shirley Craddick

Currently campaigning for a seat on Metro Council, Shirley Craddick serves as a Gresham City Councilor where she was sworn into office in 2005. Her goal, and passion, is to create thriving communities in East County with great neighborhoods, sustainable business and employment opportunities, and successful schools.Shirley is a retired Registered Dietitian and health researcher at Kaiser Permanente's Center for Health Research. During her tenure she participated in the design and implementation of multi-site behavioral clinical trials funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).As City Councilor, Shirley has focused her efforts on strengthening the city's commitment to the environment. She's proud of the city's many environmental accomplishments, including the planting of over 17,000 trees along Johnson Creek, establishing a sustainability policy, and preparing an urban forestry plan.
