Louise Currin

Class of 2011

For more than 20 years, Louise Currin worked in public schools. Now that she is retired, Louise stays involved by serving as president of AFT-Oregon's retiree chapter and second vice-chair of the Washington County Democratic Party.
She also was a long time volunteer for several organizations in various capacities, including holding leadership positions. Those organizations include Parent Child Preschools of Oregon, Parent Cooperative Preschools International and the Beaverton School District.
Born in California, Louise has had an opportunity to live in several states before moving to Oregon and also oversees in Germany and Belgium. For relaxation Louise belongs to a book group and enjoys hiking and walking, frequently participating in Volkswalks. Louise is a widow with a grown son, Walter, and a grandson, Quincy.
