Katy Brooks

Class of 2009

A Portland native working to keep the region environmentally and economically sustainable, Katy is interested in serving as a Metro councilor, combining her passion for the environment, transportation and service to the community. A mother of two, Katy is a co-owner of EcoTech, an energy efficiency and indoor air health company.
Katy is also a leader in involving the community and businesses in regional decisions, specializing in port and economic development and transportation. She helped craft a public/private sector agreement to reduce diesel emissions in the region, and serves on a bi-state committee to develop transportation goals for the I-5 Columbia River Crossing. Katy is a board member of Cascade Sierra Solutions, a non-profit dedicated to cleaner air by reducing emissions from trucks.
