Diana’s foray into public service began when she and her family moved into a neighborhood with an undeveloped park. Not one to sit on the sidelines, her efforts to get the park developed soon led an understanding of broader issues in her community and to a seat on the Salem City Council where she has served since 2009. Diana has a degree in education from Western Oregon University, has worked as an elementary and middle school teacher and currently works as a public health educator. She is a wife and mom to two amazing young adult sons. Currently, she is a candidate for Marion County Commissioner.
