I am thrilled to announce that Emerge Oregon women have won in races all across the state!  About a month ago, I told you about the 10 women running in campaigns this year.  Not all of them had races that were decided last night, but several of them did (update below!!) and move on to face opponents in the general election this November.  In fact, of the seven races run by Emerge women that were decided last night, Emerge women won in four of them!  And two of the Emerge women who lost their races, lost to another Emerge woman!

Is 2012 the Year of the Woman?  It is in Oregon!!

This year 10 Emerge Oregon women are running for office--the most in our history! And did you know, when Emerge Oregon women run, they win!

Since 2008, Emerge Oregon women have run 22 races for elected office and have won 16 of those races--an incredible success rate of 72%!

This month's featured alumna is KJ Lewis, '10. Emerge Oregon is excited to announce that Class of 2010 graduate KJ Lewis has been appointed to Multnomah County's Business Advisory Council.
